Branch and liaison office

A Turkish branch of a foreign company, or a liaison office that does not trade.

A separate Turkish company is not right for every structure. If the foreign company must act in Turkey as the same legal entity, consider a branch. If the need is market watching and representation only, consider a liaison office.

Branch

A branch is not a separate legal person from the parent. The parent’s trade name, certificate of incumbency and the branch representative’s authority sit at the centre of the file.

Liaison office

A liaison office is not opened for trading, sales and invoicing. Permission covers market research, monitoring the parent’s activity and representation, and is limited to the term and scope written in the permit.
