If a foreign investor forms a company, is a work permit required?
Registration does not give the shareholder a right to work in Turkey. If they will work, the permit is separate.
This is the point foreign investors mix up most often. A trade-registry record creates the company. Actually working at the workplace as a foreign shareholder or manager depends on a work permit.
If the shareholder only contributes capital from abroad and will not take a paid role in Turkey, the permit question is different. If they will manage daily work with signing authority in Turkey, the permit belongs in the same file as formation.
